The cute gardening product that solves a big problem.

The weather is cold, the house needs cleaning and the garden is looking a little tired.

That means we've been hitting the shops – and scrolling online – to find some new pieces to spruce up the home and make cleaning easier.

There's a lot on offer this week with end of financial year sales, and new product launches from stores like Kmart.

But there are also plenty of hidden gems that have been around for a while if you dig a little deeper.

Scroll through to see the products we're obsessing over this week and getting ready to drop straight into our virtual shopping carts.

All that rain we've had this year revealed how much I need to improve the drainage of my container garden.

Even when we're not in la niña, plants always benefit from having good drainage, especially when they're in containers.

Pot feet are a great way to improve drainage as they lift containers off the ground, allowing more space for the water to drip out easily.

But why get plain pot feet when you can have these cuties?

I'm a sucker for anything with a bunny, especially if it's one of legendary writer and naturalist Beatrix Potter's characters. So these pot feet are right up my alley.

There are several designs of pot feet available including Peter Rabbit, Mrs Rabbit and Mr Toad and friends.

Pick up these sweet pot feet from Li'l Treasures for $59.

Kmart is a go-to store for storage and organisation products, and these two new additions are top of my wish-list.

I have four deep drawers in my kitchen, which are kind of a mess because they aren't set up in a functional way.

From the moment I saw these containers I was convinced the solution to this problem is to buy some of these and sort through my kitchenware (especially the plastic containers).

Both storage units look like they will be great for plastic lids and chopping boards, which are always tricky to store neatly.

Pick these up from Kmart for $5 for the small, and $6 for the medium.

While I have a beautiful handmade throw on my sofa right now, it is looking very worn-out. The blanket is also shedding more lint and fluff than ever (something it did from the very start), and despite the sentimental attachment to it, it's time for it to go.

This blush throw from Adairs has caught my eye as it is also knitted but with a different stitch, and comes with cute pom-poms on the corners.

The colour also goes well with what I already have in my living room, which means I won't have to remove anything away to fit it in. It is also different enough to change the look and feel of the room.

And the best part is it's on sale!

Find this throw at Adairs for $113.99 (currently on sale for $83.99).

This cute plant stand has been a welcome addition to my garden, brightening up the space with its sage green colour and cute vine pattern.

It looks great in a corner spot where nothing was growing, and means I can add more visual interest to the space without doing anything permanent.

I've currently popped perennial nemesia plants in the pots, and am excited to see buds have formed so there should be some pretty flowers soon.

You can find this plant stand at Temple & Webster for $164 (currently on sale for $129).

Who knew a bath mat could put a smile on your face?

I found this out after purchasing a colourful 'Looking Good' bath mat from Kmart last year, and have been on the lookout for more since then.

But even though I want a cute slogan, I don't want anything to kitschy. So this bath mat got my attention for having a fun, positive statement, while not being over-the-top.

The blue colour will go well in my bathroom and the mat looks soft and cushy underfoot.

Pick this bath mat up from Target for $18.

While I tend to use cloths for washing dishes, a recent study showed brushes are more hygienic than sponges so I'm wondering whether I should switch to brushes.

But I'm always hesitant to buy plastic scrubbing brushes unless I really need them, because it's just more plastic that can't be recycled.

So when I spotted the Full Circle be good dish brush I got pretty excited because it's made from recycled plastic and bamboo.

That means part of the brush has already been given a second life, and the other part is made from one of the most sustainable resources.

It also has a scraper at the end for baked on foods and claims to be safe on non-stick cookware.

Basically it ticks a lot of boxes and will likely be added to my shopping cart very soon.

This eco-friendly product is available at Amazon for $8.
